Hey Racers!
The first race of the season is this coming Sunday! Brad has most things ready to go - storage pod is in place - carpet and track materials are in it - room has been scheduled for the year - transponders are ready - tape, ink, etc purchased etc, etc, etc. One big change is that we will have a new lap counting program and I am in the process of learning it and I hope 2 or 3 others will do the same! It's the one they are running in Elk Point and several other tracks around the region. Mike Carson (from Elk Point) will be on hand Sunday to make sure our maiden voyage with the program runs smoothly. Thanks Mike! All of you can help too - by coming prepared to write down your personal transponder numbers when you enter to race. I have transported as many as I could but I know there will be changes & additions.
We can always use help setting up. We will be out there at 10:00am so come out if you can! We are going to try to get started racing at noon or as close as possible. It's the first race of the season, and with a new lap counting , so please bring your cooperation and patience with you.
By the way, membership fees have been lowered to $30 single and $ 40 family. Entry fees will remain the same at $12 first car / $8 for each additional car for members. Non-members are $ 15 first car and $8 each additional entry. If you do the math, a single will only save $ 3 over the season, but a family stands to save much more! There are some other benefits to a membership that will be discussed at the track. The biggest benefit is that you will be helping to support the local racing!
I'm looking forward to a great season - hope a lot of you are too!
See you all Sunday.....
Jerry
