Lynn does an outstanding job of running the computer at our races and she has agreed to help us with that.....when she can. When she can't, we need to have other people, familiar with the lap-counting program, so we can struggle through the day without her. Our first thought was to have a few people try to learn the program by watching her during the race day but she and I agreed on Sunday that that just doesn't seem to be working. We discussed the possibility of getting a few people together some week night for a training session. That would get people some exposure to the program and then, if we helped during a few race events, we might get familiar enough to stumble through it on our own if we needed to. We need some volunteers to get involved with this. It would take a little involvement initially but probably not so much on an on-going basis as long as Lynn is willing and able to be there. I will volunteer to be one of the people, but I'd like to see 2 or 3 others as well. If you are willing to help with this, please respond to this post. Once we get a few people on board we will need to work out a time and place to hold a training session. The sooner we get this done the better. One of these days Lynn won't be there to help us and, unless we are somewhat prepared, the race day will get pretty ugly.
Thanks,
Jerry Driscoll

I feel that we have discussed this before Ben, on more than one occassion...no, there is not a copy of the program, only what is on the computer. Once again, we (Berge) bought the computer from a company that couldn't stay in business, I moved the information on that drive to the laptop. You have had the computer in the past to learn the program for quite a period of time and ended up adding programs that the club is not licensed to have.

We still need volunteers to learn how to run the lap counting program. I think we need to get this done as soon as we can so we have people that are able to set up and run the races if needed. Please respond to this post if you are interestd, or give me a call.
