Some updates.......
Brad is still working on getting the secretary related things worked out with Chris - hopes to get that done this week .
The transponders (20 of them) are all accounted for and ready to go! Thanks to Audie!
The contract is finalized on the room. It sounds like we might be able to get in sometime on Saturday (November 12th) to lay out the carpet for the first time, and let it flatten out overnight before the first race on Sunday November 13th.
The storage container was set in place late last week and is ready for us to transfer the "stuff" (carpet, boards etc.) into it. I was able to get it in a location very handy to the door that goes directly into the room that we'll be racing in.
HELP NEEDED !!!!!
Speaking of transferring the "stuff" into the container, we could use some help with that on Saturday, this Saturday, November 5th. We need 4-6 people to help load up the carpet rolls etc. that are in storage at Will Dose's house. If you can give a hand please respond to this post so we know who will be there. We plan to meet at Will's place at 9:30AM this coming Saturday, load up the "stuff", haul it to the Ramkota and unload it into the container. If we have enough people to help it should only take a couple of hours. Maybe Will can post directions to his house for people that don't know where he lives (somewhere out by the Lennox exit off I29 South).
Also, I spoke to my contact at the Ramkota and she said if we don't have enough people to warrant having a race on November 27th (Thanksgiving weekend) we can cancel without any penalty. Personally, I'd like to race if we can because of the already limited race schedule.
We still need to elect a President!!
