the manual for the losi says the engine is for 10%-30% nitro. I still have half a gal. of 33% traxxas would it be smart or stupid to use the traxxas for break in or should I get new fuel for break in? what (in your opinion) is the best break in process?

Personally Harv I wouldnt use the Traxxas fuel for anything period! I use the heat cycle method to break in my motors.

1. Pre-heat motor to 200. 2. Run buggy around a parking lot or smooth surface. Not in Grass, Do NOT apply full throttle. Drive it for 3 minutes keeping the temps above 200. (Dont let it run out of gas) (Most likely it came with a very Rish setting on the high end need from teh factory. May have to lean it out alittle to get it to run properly.) 3. Put the piston to Bottom Dead Center, and let it cool down to room temp. 4. Do this for about... 10 tanks or so.. 5. after tank 10.. I would start leaning it out more and more until you start getting a Race Tune.
**The most important thing, is to preheat the motor before EVERY start during the break-in process. This loosens and expands the piston/sleeve, thus providing less stress on the piston/sleeve/crank.**
Is that a Turbo or Standard motor?

two tanks to go. the steering servo went out on me at tank 3 I heard the stock servos suck and are known to go out quickly. I have a Hitec 625MG you can borrow until you get one. Give me a call if you need it.
