We have an opportunity to rent a large space where we could utilize all of our carpet. There is one difference between this facility and the others that we have rented in the past. We would anyone have issues with racing on Saturdays? We could move in @ 3 with racing starting at 4. This facility is a bit more expensive but can easily be afforded with complete club support. Let us know your thoughts.

Personally, I am really turned off by the idea of racing at a small location like the Moose or the VFW. This is one reason I put my cars up for sale. If there is a larger location to have a full size track I would try harder to make my schedule work to show up for most of the races. I have not seen the club race on the a full size track but, it sounds like a great time. It won't happen this year but, I would be interested in jumping into the EDM classes if there were a larger track in the following years. The track at the Moose is just way to small for the EDM classes.
Saturdays would be tough for me right now during hunting season. After the 1st of Dec that issue would go away.

I like the idea of the full size track again. Saturdays work ok for me. How much differance in cost?

I can make saturdays work. that would be cool. Get something to eat and drink after racing is done.

Personally I prefer Sundays. I can probably make Saturday work too, I think. The problem I see with that start time is that it kinda scews up the whole day. The deal is that no matter what day/time we race, some people are going to like it and some won't.

Whatever day/time we race it will take most of a day. As one those of the people who set up and tear down weekly, I would love Saturday afternoon-evening racing. Getting there Sunday mornings at 9am and leaving anywhere from 5-6pm pretty much is a complete day. Saturdays I would have some time in the mornings to get things done or all day Sunday. (Fishing ) The negative part is less trips to Tea's for racing on Saturdays.

I also prefer Sundays, alot due to the fact that we don't get home late in the evening like on a Saturday race. Plus for us out of town people with kids that could be driving some distance in adverse weather conditions late at night in the dark does concern me. I'm all for racing on a bigger track but just don't think that this place being considered with some of its downfalls(higher rent, heat issues,...ect) is worth switching over from the many benefits the Moose offers us, they treat us very well there with little chance of being pushed out for any reason. I would like to see us get started ASAP at the Moose and continue looking for a more beneficial place to lay down all of the club's carpet.

I think the bottom line is you have to do whats best for the track. Either day i can make work. i like the idea of going out to eat and drink after racing saturday but if i hurts the club then its not worth it. Oh yeah and Leinenkugel summer shandy is out of season too! LOL

Those serious about racing will accomodate. Im willing to help get the racing going which ever way is decided.

I would prefer Sundays as well, I am a hunter and my Saturdays are pretty much full during hunting season, but if we raced on Saturdays I would try to make it to most of the races.

It's not that easy Scott. I don't hunt around here. I drive about and hour and a half to hunt. Don't really want to do that on a Sunday when I have to go to work on Monday.

8-)Sunday's work best 4 me 2! Too many people go out on saturday nites, and would probally have fewer racers. Lets stick with what works on sundays.
