the plastic cover on my lipo is cracked do i keep using it or not?

I would say it is ok as long as the pack itself did not puff up. The first charge I would keep an eye on it, in case it starts to puff, or charge it in a li-po sack. But the call is still up to you, if it is a cheaper pack it may be best to stop using it.

Should be ok if it isnt puffed. Main reason some have plastic cases is to protect the lipo cells from moving/damage/moisture. If you feel it "may" be unsafe. Purchase a lipo sack for $10-15 and charge/store it in there until you decide otherwise.

FYI you should ALWAYS use a lipo sac to charge ANY lipo battery. In fact failure to do so at one of our events will result in you being asked to leave.
