The last race of the outdoor season is this coming Sunday (9/26). It's supposed to be in the mid 70's and sunny so let's get a bunch of racers there and finish up the season with some good racing. Last Sunday was disappointing. The tracks were both ready to go but only a few people came out so we decided to cancel the race day at noon. The people that were there asked about the upcoming carpet season and Chris said he will be announcing a pre-season meeting date soon.
See you at the track Sunday!

I’m not sure what kind of shape the track(s) will be in for racing this Sunday. They both looked pretty good when we left last week but, with all the rain we’ve had this past week, it’s hard to tell what they look like now. I plan to go out and check it out Saturday afternoon and, if it looks possible that we‘ll be able to race, I’ll go out early on Sunday for a final assessment. You can call my cell (940-2225) Sunday morning if you want an update. I’ll also try get something posted on the web-site. Jerry

The kids and I won't be there this Sunday. We are trying to keep the Jeep rubber side down at the Black Hills off-roading expedition. Looking forward to carpet season. See you then. Chad

I was just at the track the ovel needs little work to get it race ready but nothing that a little draging won't fix. the off road will need some dirt to fill in some of the bigger washouts. don't be doing any naked rain dances because i have a feeling that if we have any rain tonight that we won't be racing. right now the tracks have the perfict amount of water not to muddy not to dry it would be realy fast if we were racing today.

Sounds good Harv - I was trying to get out there this afternoon but am at the hospital with a relatuive. I plan to go out tommorrow morning early and drag the track. My biggest concern was driving up to the track - was it real muddy?

no it was just like the track realy tacky. you can drive up the hill just at a slower pace so you don't spin your tires and the grass helped to. I think we will be fine so long as we don't have rain tonight.

Yup, I agree Harv. I went out tonight about 6:00pm and was able to drive right up to the track. If we don't get any more rain tonight we'll be good to go for tommorrow! I plan to be out the the track by 9:00am and we should be ready for practice by 10:30 or 11:00 and to start racing at noon. I also spoke to Chris and he plans to bring out the computer. I hope EVERYBODY comes out for the last race of the season!!

Well, the final race of the dirt season was held Sunday 9/26. Thanks to those that came out to race. It was a nice day. We had a pretty good turnout and some fun races. Thanks to Chris for coming out to run the computer! We also got things winterized and buttoned up until next season. Other than the shed door needing a little work, there shouldn’t be anything that needs to be done until next spring. We talked about a carpet season meeting and it sounded like it might be held on Wednesday night, October 6th – time, date and location to be confirmed by Chris - he said he would post something on the website soon about that. Thanks to all the racers that came out to race this summer and the people that helped out at the track! Jerry

do they have a electric monster truck class? If you have an electric monster truck and want to come out and run with us in next summers season your more then welcome. The Monster Truck Class is not limited to just nitro, basically run what you got.

We did run a Slash type truck class on the carpet oval last year and a truck class on the onroad track also. But I'm not sure what type of a "Monster Truck" you have and if it would qualify for either of those classes.
Watch the board for the upcoming carpet meeting details for more information.
