Can someone help with some general questions? I'm putting an EMD together.
What tires do you run at Hartford track on the front and rear of an EDM?
What would be a good starting point for gearing? I'm putting in a 13.5 brushless motor.
Any help would be Great!!!
Thanks..

I'm sure Grumpy will chime in and offer some suggestions. I might be wrong but I don't think a 13.5 motor will cut it. I'm thinking 10.5 at the very least.

In my first, and only run last year on the dirt I was running an OLD 10.5 motor and was leading the feature when a rock knocked my sensor wire loose and ended my race. On the loose dirt, I was using rubber tires I bought from Mark. The rears were pins, the fronts were ribbed ( for her pleasure ). Not sure what the real name of those rubber tires are. I'd think, if you get the gearing figured out, and can talk the guys into less water on the track, a 13.5 wouldn't be that far off. This is probably a discussion for another thread, but I think many of us are thinking about going to an open foam tire, grooving allowed for the winter. That way we can all buy used tires online and save a few dollars.
