It would be nice to all get together for a quick meeting at Cherry Creek again soon. Try and post on here if you plan to attend. Try for a 7pm mtg, October 2nd. That would give us a month to get everything going again. We need EVERYBODY'S help to make it work. Please try and do all you can, as setting up is the hardest and longest part. Our club is getting smaller. The more help we can get sunday morning, the quicker we can get to racing!! Thanks for all your help in the past.If a Tuesday or Thursday night is better, please let me know. Thanks again, and hope to see everybody there. Help spread the word, via phone calls, and text messages. EVERY DAY IS RACEDAY!!!

Hello racefans. Well, due to lack of racers, and many other things, we will NOT be racing at the Ramkota this year! We will be racing at Hobbytown. We have worked out a deal with Brad, and will be racing on Sunday afternoons. The store opens at 12 noon, and racing will begin at 1pm. We will be using our own computer, and timing system. This way, we can use our own personal transponders, and the clubs numbered ones also. The new schedule will be: Nov 10,24 Dec 8-22, Jan 12-26, Feb 9-23, Mar 9-23. These times and dates can change, or we can also add a date if needed. At this time, we will ONLY be running OVAL races. We are trying to see how many racers come out to play, and see if we have enough interest to make a onroad track for 1/10th scale touring. If you guys bring your cars, we will make a track. Any questions or suggestions would be appreciated. Feel free to post here, or call me direct. Brad@605-360-8883. Thanks again to one and all who have helped this club survive. Hope to make it thrive again!!

Brad,
I doubt that I will make it to many of the races at Hobbytown this winter race season. For that reason, I think you should find someone new to run the computer lap-counting program this year. I am willing to help someone get familiar with it before the season opener and, I would be willing to help out at the first race weekend if needed. The computer program should still have most of the setup in it from last season (names, classes etc.) but it will probably need a few little "tweaks" to adapt it to the shorter track. Please get the computer to me as soon as you can so I can check it out and make sure its ready for the season. Thanks for everything you have done in an effort to keep this club going. Jerry.

No problem, I'll run the computer. Maybe I can get it soon and just go through it a little bit. Setting it up for 5-10 EDMs can't be any harder than setting up a scoring system for 60-some full scale cars. I'm sure Brian can help too.

Brad, sounds like you have someone with WAY more experience than I have to run the computer. Great!

Hi everyone, just a FYI, you can ONLY run odorless traction compound at Hobbytown. There are many options available. Brad has some available in the store to purchase also. Thanks.

wow didnt see that comming looks like we go to marshall to race touring. Scott, there is nothing wrong with that. Marshall is a great facility and the on-road racing up there will be top notch this year. Records show you raced with the club 4 times last year. As a club we rely on consistent attendance and consistent help from racers. Financially, it would be irresponsible for us to continue to operate as we were. Physically, it was impossible for the same 5 people to continue with the grueling work or setting up and tearing down. In today’s world, people don’t have a lot of extra time and I think we all understand most people simply cannot commit the time needed to operate as we were. Maybe things will improve after this year, maybe not. I am thankful Brad and the staff at HobbyTown is giving us an opportunity to keep racing in Sioux Falls, as they do offer on-road racing as well.
