Audie Turpitt both classes! Great! (Sorry about the typos in your name before) This is great. If we bring 14 cars to their program, we will have a serious RC friend to our south. ----------------------------------- Last year down there, we ran 5 minute heats and a 5 minute main. In a heat race, Chad Schettler set a new 10.5 class track record for the number of laps: Chad Schettler -- 64/5:02.604 -- 3/6/2010 Chad went on to win a great A feature: Name----------------QU-----LPS---TIME---------BEST LAPSchettler, Chad----- #1-----60-----5:01.227-----4.465 Neisteadt, Shawn--- #3-----59-----5:00.133-----4.579 Garrett, Mike-------- #2-----58-----5:02.615-----4.520 Mullins, Bryon------- #7-----35-----3:07.261-----4.782 Young, Rick----------#4-----31-----2:39.509-----4.822 Murray, Fred-------- #5-----19-----1:45.407-----4.835 Nytroe, Jared------- #6-----10-----0:54.426-----4.735

How big is the track? Gearing change suggestions?

How big is the track? Gearing change suggestions? I seem to remember it being 180 feet. As of now, my plan is to keep the same gears on as Sioux Falls and see how that works. I don't have a good ratio written down from last year, as I burned a motor down in the feature.

Actually, you could probably run that gearing. I came off the track at 227 and finished second. The motor just never ran again.

The guy that runs the races is off on Thursdays. I will call down there tomorrow and get details on the format. Last year we ran three rounds of five minute qualifiers and a five minute main.

FORMAT DETAILS!!!!! Open practice: 10am-11am ( I remember running laps right up to 11:30 last year. Races Start: 11:30am Three rounds of qualifiers: 4 minutes each Main: 5 Minutes (8 cars max) Sounds like most of their guys that have similar cars are roadtripping to race on dirt somewhere tomorrow. I think we just scared them out of town !

With the recent skyrocketing gas prices and the fact that the local omaha racers will be racing elsewhere I might elect to stay home on this one

Dang it! I've lost Audie's number. He should get a hold of Chris and Will and see if they have room... they could split the gas cost.
